CARRUM DOWNS / SKYE
Botany Park Real Estate is based in Carrum Downs, a suburb of the City of Frankston. Carrum Downs is located 7 kms on the Melbourne side of the Frankston CBD. It was originally a rural area and was first established as a new residential development in the late 70’s, early 80’s.
Since those early beginnings the suburb of Carrum Downs / Skye has grown to 7000-8000 homes and is continuing to develop. It incorporates three Supermarket shopping center complexes, three State Primary Schools, a Catholic Primary, State Secondary College and a Primary / Secondary Christian College. The area is well serviced by several bus routes connecting with Frankston, Dandenong and Seaford. Apart from proximity to Frankston CBD, it is within easy reach of major trading hubs at Dandenong and Cranbourne.
Carrum Downs has a substantial light industrial area with easy access to the Mornington Peninsula Freeway, the southern end of Eastlink and to the Monash Freeway via the Westernport Highway. This area is expanding quickly with new vacant land rezoned for light industrial development to meet the demand. The close proximity to several significant major transport routes provides a variety of options for travel to Melbourne and its environs.
Skye is a more recently developed area also adjacent to Carrum Downs but bordering the environmentally protected green wedge zone. Many of the most recently built, larger homes have been built in Skye. In addition, the newly developed Sandhurst development with prestige residential locations constructed around two internationally acclaimed golf courses, has added to the desirability of the area generally.
Seaford is a well established beachside suburb adjoining Carrum Downs and is currently undergoing a real estate transformation. Demand for residential property in this area is also very strong.
Frankston North is continuing to experience very significant growth in property values and residential properties in this area are always in demand.
